Taking down the “Oh Honey!” menu signs from each store, we’re making way for the sweet aromatics of flowers in the spring. Klatch Coffee is happy to bloom into the second half of spring with our new seasonal menu, Rosey Sips.
With three new drinks and two new food items (only one new item available at select locations), this new menu will transport you to a whimsical garden, reminiscent of enjoying a picnic amongst the flowers. To elevate your picnic dreams even more, not only are these new offerings aromatic and delicious, but they’re also inspired by different books! Why? Because nothing is better than enjoying a quiet, peaceful picnic in a garden with a good book in hand. Even more so if your drinks are inspired by the very books that are holding your attention already.
New Bloom
New Moon is the second novel in Stephenie Meyer’s famed tetralogy, the Twilight Saga. The story follows Bella Swan as her vampire lover, Edward Cullen, separates from her as a way to protect her. While she spends her time mourning their love, a miscommunication leads to Edward believing she has passed away. With her childhood friend and werewolf, Jacob Black, pulling her out of the fog, Bella and Edward eventually find each other again in an epic reunion. The story is dark and brooding, but it’s also light and romantic. Just like the novel, our New Bloom is complex and full of contrast. It’s slightly moody and deep, but also with softer tones. On the bottom, you’ll see our house-made strawberry puree and your choice of milk. On the top, you’ll experience the bolder side of the drink, with a rose whipped espresso foam. Firm, yet soft, this drink embodies the nuances and layered depth that could only make sense for a love story that features a human, a vampire, and a werewolf.
Secret Garden
The Secret Garden is a classic children's novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett. The story follows Mary Lennox, an orphan, as she discovers a hidden garden in her uncle's Yorkshire estate. With the help of a neighboring boy, Dickon, and her ill cousin, Colin, the three young children bring the dying garden back to life. Along the way, the trio grows, heals, and discovers the true meaning of connection and friendship. Similarly, our Secret Garden beverage is one that’s subtle and unexpected, yet uplifting. Thorns & Roses
A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas was one of Spotify’s most streamed audiobooks of all time, a list the platform released as part of their twenty year anniversary celebration, and for great reason. It’s a fantasy romance novel following huntress Feyre Archeron and the magical world of the Fae. It’s similar to Beauty and the Beast in some moments, only weaving in faerie lore, deeper romance, and wilder adventures. The novel is the first of five within the series, and delves into themes of sacrificial love, trauma, and personal transformation. Along her journey, Feyre finds herself healing and growing, and she also discovers the meaning of found family. The story is exactly as it sounds—beautiful, yet enchanting. Such a beautiful flower like the rose, only to be pricked by its thorns. Our Thorns & Roses beverage transforms this depth into a beverage worth trying. What’s better to enjoy at a picnic in the gardens than a light, fruity, simple snack? Our Berry Ricotta Toast features fresh berries, a light and creamy ricotta spread, and a lightly toasted bread. The Melt
For the savory lovers, this sandwich focuses less on the sweet. The Melt is an English Muffin sandwich with pesto sauce, tomato, provolone, and egg. The colors are vibrant, with the green from the pesto, the red from the tomato, and the yellow of the egg shining with beautiful contrast. Striking visually and delicious to taste, it’s a classic sandwich that pairs perfectly with a bolder beverage.
